What is Vulkaninfo 32 and what can it do to the computer?

Vulkaninfo 32 is a suspicious application that gets inside computers with Nvidia[1] graphic driver’s updates. This program pretends to be a graphics and API (application program interface)[2] platform that has been developed by the well-known Khronos consortium. Therefore, if you have recently updated some drivers, you should check the list of newly installed applications and make sure that Vulkaninfo 32 virus is not there. This computer infection might affect Windows OS and Mac OS X devices. Affected PCs have Vulkaninfo.exe[3] file; however, antivirus programs do not identify this app as malicious or potentially dangerous. However, it’s important to remove Vulkaninfo 32 as soon as it starts delivering annoying warnings about various system errors, for instance, ‘vulkaninfo.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience’ and similar.

Vulkaninfo virus is a potentially dangerous application that might cause some problems to the affected computer. One of the most concerning features is that it might include malicious components or files that might make computer’s system fragile. However, if you found this program on your PC, you should check whether it has been developed by LunarG[4] or not. If the developer is another company or person, you should initiate Vulkaninfo 32 removal right now because you are dealing with some shady app. At the end of the article you will find detailed instructions how to uninstall this application from the PC; however, you should also scan the computer with Reimage or other reputable malware removal utility. The appearance of this app is the sign that your computer might be infected with other PUPs or malware as well. So, take care of it!

We have briefly mentioned that Vulkaninfo 32 spreads with NVIDIA update. However, this application might be added as an optional program in the other software package. When users install new programs using Recommended or Quick setup, they might install any potentially unwanted program as well as Vulkaninfo 32 virus. It’s important to install software or its updates carefully[5], using Advanced or Custom setup because it does not hide any additional components from you. During the installation, you can monitor and adjust each step, so when you see the list of pre-selected suggested apps, you should simply deselect them. That’s how you block the entrance for PUPs. Also, you should read EULA and Privacy Policy before installing or updating any program. These documents include information about data gathering, collaboration with third-parties and other important statements. Lastly, if you are one of those inattentive computer users who experienced Vulkaninfo 32 hijack, you should concentrate on its removal and be more careful next time. Don’t forget these tips!
