Uninstall SaveFrom.net helper in Windows systems

This potentially unwanted program might have installed other third-party programs. Thus, you need to open the list of installed programs and look for the suspicious applications. We suggest looking for KeepVid, Chameleon, Savefrom.net helper, Savefrom, and similar. If you find other unknown entries, uninstall them as well. 

Terminate suspicious programs from Windows 10/8 machines by following these instructions:

1. Type Control Panel into Windows search and once the result shows up hit Enter.
2. Under Programs, choose Uninstall a program.
   
3. Find components related to suspicious programs.
4. Right-click on the application and select Uninstall.
5. Click Yes when User Account Control shows up.
   
6. Wait for the process of uninstallation to be done and click OK.

Windows 7/XP instructions:

1. Click on Windows Start and go to Control Panel on the right pane.
2. Choose Add/Remove Programs.
   
   
3. Select Uninstall a program under Programs in Control Panel.
4. Click once on the unwanted application.
5. Click Uninstall/Change at the top.
6. Confirm with Yes.
7. Click OK and finish the removal.

Uninstall SaveFrom.net helper in Mac OS X system

1. Users who use OS X should click on Go button, which can be found at the top left corner of the screen and select Applications.
2. Wait until you see Applications folder and look for SaveFrom.net helper or any other suspicious programs on it. Now right click on every of such entries and select Move to Trash.

Delete SaveFrom.net helper from Microsoft Edge

Delete suspicious extensions from MS Edge:

1. Go to the Menu by clicking on the three horizontal dots at the top-right.
2. Then pick Extensions.

4. Now scroll down and locate every entry with Microsoft Edge name in it.
5. Right-click on each of them and select End Task to stop MS Edge from running.

When none of the above solves the issue, you might need an advanced Edge reset method, but you need to backup your data before proceeding.

1. Find the following folder on the PC: C:\\Users\\%username%\\AppData\\Local\\Packages\\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe.
2. Press Ctrl + A on your keyboard to select all folders.
   
3. Right-click on the selection and choose Delete
4. Right-click on the Start button and pick Windows PowerShell (Admin).
   
5. Copy and paste the following command, and then press Enter:

Instructions for Chromium-based Edge

Delete extensions:

1. Open Edge and click Settings.
2. Then find Extensions.
   
3. Delete unwanted extensions with the Remove.

Clear cache and site data:

1. Click on Menu and then Settings.
2. Find Privacy and services.
3. Locate Clear browsing data, then click Choose what to clear.
   
4. Time range.
5. Click All time.
6. Select Clear now.

Reset Chromium-based MS Edge browser fully:

1. Go to Settings.
2. On the left side, choose Reset settings.
   
3. Select Restore settings to their default values.
4. Click Reset.

Delete SaveFrom.net helper from Mozilla Firefox (FF)

Open the list of Firefox extensions and look for Savefrom.net helper and delete it immediately. Also, if you find other add-ons that you do not remember installing, you should get rid of them as well. 

Remove suspicious Firefox extensions:

1. Open Mozilla Firefox browser and click on the three horizontal lines at the top-right to open the menu.
2. Select Add-ons in the context menu.

Reset the homepage on the browser:

1. Click three horizontal lines at the top right corner.
2. This time select Options.
3. Under Home section, enter your preferred site for the homepage that will open every time you launch Mozilla Firefox.

Clear cookies and site data:

1. Click Menu and pick Options.
2. Find the Privacy & Security section.
3. Scroll down to choose Cookies and Site Data.
   
4. Click on Clear Data… option.
5. Click Cookies and Site Data, Cached Web Content and press Clear.

Reset Mozilla Firefox:

If none of the steps above helped you, reset Mozilla Firefox as follows:

1. Open Mozilla Firefox and go to the menu.
2. Click Help and then choose Troubleshooting Information.
   
3. Locate Give Firefox a tune-up section, click on Refresh Firefox…
4. Confirm the action by pressing on Refresh Firefox on the pop-up.
   

Chrome browser reset

In order to remove adware program entirely from the Google Chrome, you need to delete all suspicious add-ons, extensions, and toolbars that might have been installed on your browser. 6. Click Clear data.

Alter settings of the homepage:

1. Go to the menu and choose Settings.
2. Find odd entries in the On startup section.
3. Click on Open a specific or set of pages.
4. Then click on three dots and look for the Remove option.

Reset Google Chrome fully:

You might need to reset Google Chrome and properly eliminate all the unwanted components:

1. Go to Chrome Settings.
2. Once there, scroll down to expand Advanced section.
3. Scroll down to choose Reset and clean up.
4. Click Restore settings to their original defaults.
5. Click Reset settings again.

Delete SaveFrom.net helper from Safari

Go to the list of Safari extensions. Look for the unknown extensions and delete each of them. They might be responsible for many undesired activities on your browser. 

Get rid of questionable extensions from Safari:
